Equitable medical care should apply to everyone. Sadly, it is not often the case.

Despite the fact that several gastrointestinal cancers are preventable by endoscopic intervention (colon cancer); and treatable when detected early with endoscopic screening (gastric cancer), many patients have no access to this preventative care.

The Foundation has sponsored free GI endoscopic care via Dr. Harvey Young’s service to patients in the greater San Francisco Bay Area who cannot afford such procedures. The program is established in collaboration with Operation Access, Waverley Surgery Center and LabCorp Laboratories.
